Hawaii
Experience golf in the Aloha State

A bucket-list destination for any golfer, Kapalua’s two championship courses are as challenging as they are beautiful. The Plantation Course, consistently ranked as one of Hawaii’s finest, hosts the PGA TOUR’s The Sentry, while the Bay Course is a player favorite. The experience is complemented by the Kapalua Golf Academy, home to the industry’s top instructors.

Manele, located on the southern coast of Lanai, is the #1 public course in Hawaii. The Nicklaus design is worthy of high praise. It has three ocean-cove holes, including the par-3 12th and dogleg-right par-4 17th.

  • Kapalua- Plantation Course

Plantation Course has been recognized as the best golf course in Hawaii for fifteen consecutive years by Golfweek. Designed by Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore, the course was designed on a grand scale in keeping with its location on the slopes of the West Maui Mountains and offers dramatic ocean views from virtually every hole.

Its lengthy 7,596 yard par 73 layout challenges the pros but its wide fairways and generous greens make it very playable for the average golfer. With dramatic elevation changes, this course offers plenty of downhill tee shots. You’ll feel like one of the pros when – with the aid of the aggressive slope of the 18th fairway – you will enjoy hitting one of the longest drives of your life. The Plantation Course is the site of the PGA TOUR’s

The Sentry each January featuring an elite field of previous year’s PGA TOUR winners.

The course record is set at 61 and tied between Justin Thomas, Jon Rahm, and Matt Jones from the 2022 Sentry Tournament of Champions.

  • Manele

Built on lava outcroppings, this Jack Nicklaus-signature course features three holes perched on cliffs, enlisting the Pacific Ocean as a water hazard.

The five-tee concept challenges the best golfers – tee shots over natural gorges and ravines must be precise – and novice players will enjoy practicing their swing amid spectacular vistas.

  • Ko Olina

Ko Olina Golf Club nestled in scenic Honolulu, home of the 2012-2019 LOTTE Championship and numbered among Golf Digest’s “Top 75 Resort Courses in the U.S.”, boasts exceptional water features, multi-tier greens and large landing areas with a moderate length which appeals to beginners and expert golfers alike. Designed and built in 1990 by renowned golf course architect Ted Robinson, Ko Olina Golf Club has hosted the LPGA’s Hawaiian Ladies Open, the Ko Olina Senior PGA Invitational in 1992, and from 2006 – 2008, the Fields Open in Hawaii LPGA event.

With no parallel fairways, each hole offers a unique and breathtaking experience and invites players to challenge themselves while reconnecting with the spectacular natural surroundings. Noted LPGA star Michelle Wie, who grew up in Honolulu, developed her championship caliber game here at Ko Olina Golf Club.

  • Royal Ka’anapali

The Royal Ka’anapali Course is one of only two courses in all of Hawaii designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. The architect took advantage of the rolling landscape to create gently sloping fairways and large contoured greens to ensure a challenging approach to each hole. Stretching 6,700 yards, this par 71 course will challenge your club selection and putting skills. The Royal Ka’anapali Course begins at sea level with a par 5 hole extending 550 yards. The course hugs the shoreline before winding its way to the West Maui Mountain foothills. Arnold Palmer called the 18th hole (par 4) one of the best and most challenging finishing holes he’d ever played. The 449-yard hole plays longer than it looks, hugging the brackish water canal the entire length of the fairway and green, making it a memorable last hole.

As you journey through the Royal Course, notice the historical plaques on each tee, sharing the history and stories of Kā’anapali. The course will take you Makai (Oceanside) and then bring you into the West Maui Mountain foothills (Mauka) with stunning panoramic views.

  • Ka'anapali Kai

The Ka'anapali Kai Golf Course offers a beautiful setting with views of the Pacific Ocean and the West Maui Mountains. The course features strategic shots, lush fairways, challenging holes, and stunning scenery, making it a popular choice for both seasoned golfers and those looking to enjoy a shorter round of golf. The Kai Course complements the nearby Royal Ka'anapali Course, offering players a variety of golfing experiences in a picturesque Hawaiian setting.

Along many holes on the Ka’anapali Kai Course lie natural canals, gulches and lava rock boundaries. The course is landscaped with native flowers along the trails like the hibiscus, bougainvillea and plumeria, as well as the Norfolk Pines and coconut trees that border many fairways. These features are part of what makes the course most enjoyable. Ka'anapali Kai Course was redesigned by Hawaii’s most prolific golf course architect, Robin Nelson. This course focuses on strategy of your round, not necessarily distance or strength, which is why this course is enjoyed by both the beginner and avid golfer.

  • Kapalua- Bay Course

The Kapalua Bay Course is a championship course that is as challenging as it is beautiful. The Bay Course opened in 1975 and in that time has hosted over 20 major professional tournaments – the most of any neighbor island course in the state of Hawaii. From the first live prime-time televised event in golf at the 1983 Kapalua International to the Kapalua LPGA classic some 25 years later,

The Bay Course has consistently faced the best players in golf and withstood the test of time and technology. Great champions and stories have emerged here, such as Greg Norman’s first win on America soil, Ian Woosnam and David Llwellyn’s thrilling victory for Wales in the World Cup of Golf and Morgan Pressel’s nail-biting win at the Kapalua LPGA classic.

Two of the most popular PGA players ever, Fred Couples and Davis Love III, have each earned victories here – twice.
